I have wanted to work in interior design since I was in high school. As a self-proclaimed artsy hipster, I have always admired the work of interior designers. I used to go to events where I’d see art and design for the first time. I loved the attention to detail and thought it was what all designers meant to be doing. After college, I decided to move to New York City and pursue my dreams in the real world of design.
I was recently introduced to the work of the New York-based interior designer, Lucy Farr. Lucy is an incredibly stylish interior designer that has a great eye for detail and a knack for working with unconventional materials. When I first saw her work, I was immediately drawn to her incredible sense of color.
Lucy’s work is very visually expressive. Her eye for design details and use of materials is amazing. She uses a wide range of materials including natural materials (wood, stone, and ceramic), vintage, antique, and found items. She works with all these materials and makes her designs in a way that allows the viewer to have an immersive experience.
Though I can’t say for certain, the color of her work may be a result of an inherited allergy for some, given that she is allergic to many colours.
This is definitely a challenge for luciens interior design. Not only is she a big fan of natural materials but some of her designs are really out there. I love the way that she makes her home look like a museum as she changes the style of the room. I also love how she uses a wide range of materials to make her home feel inviting and comfortable.
This is an excellent example of how a designer can utilize a variety of materials to create a home that is both appealing and comfortable. She uses materials such as oak veneer and wooden floors to make her home feel welcoming and cozy. And for those of us who don’t have allergies, this is another great example of how to use natural materials without harming the environment.
