I’m going to be the first to admit that as a designer, interior design can be a pretty boring job. As with pretty much anything else, there is a lot of repetition and the same things all the time. This is especially true in the design of rooms for the college dorms. This is why I decided to create this blog to share my favorite design tips and tricks for creating clean, minimalistic interiors at the college level.
Although I am an interior designer, I have never worked with the college dorms so it was a new experience for me. I feel like this is a pretty good reason to create a blog about it. I’ve also been asked if I have any tips for college students, and I hope to share those as well. The thing I’m most excited about as a designer is the fact that I can continue to make design tips and tricks here on my blog.
As an interior designer, the first thing I try and do is figure out just what its going to look like when it is finished. I like to do a lot of research with the students I work with because I think it gets them excited about the possibilities of creating a new space.
A friend of mine has been telling me that I should start a design blog. I told her I didn’t know if I would have time to do it. She told me she would give me a call and schedule a meeting for me to give her a tour of my studio in the near future.
My studio is just that, my studio. I have the tools I need to design my space. My studio’s my space. I’ve been building it for years now. I’ve been building it with my own money and my skills. So I have tons of experience designing spaces. I’ve had many years of experience doing interior design for corporate clients as well.
I just wish I knew it earlier. This would have given me enough time to make sure the layout was perfect, add in my own personal touches, and make a few minor improvements.
In order to be truly successful in interior design, you need to have a thorough understanding of how your space should look, feel, and function. A lot of interior designers forget this. I have to go down to the basement of this building and pull all my tools out to take measurements.
I was hoping to get away with going to a furniture store and buying a sofa, but I guess I’ll have to use my own design skills to get around that. I feel like I’m in a design contest all over again. I know I’ve taken so many design classes in my life, but I feel like I should be doing something a little more creative and entertaining.
I’ve always thought of design as something that I would never do, but as I get older I have begun to think of it as a profession. I have a couple of design websites and I’ve tried to make them a lot more interactive. I used to write a lot of content for my own website, but I’m a little discouraged by the amount of time it takes to put a page together.
It’s nice to see a lot of people are starting to create some good content and getting back to the basics of what a website is supposed to be. While we’ve all been on a design kick recently, most people seem to be hitting on a problem in the first place: They’re not getting enough attention. The problem is that more attention equals more search traffic and even though that is nice, it’s not enough.
